Innsbruck – not only a ski resort
This city is located more than 500 meters above the sea level. Here the castle Hofburg is an obligatory point for every history passionate. The city of Mozart: Salzburg
The name of this city is connected with salt, which was mined in its area for years. Now Salzburg can be proud of the old city, included in 1996 in UNESCO list. Every year millions of tourists visit it. Classical music fans must see the town house where Mozart was born. Today it functions as a museum, dedicated to that famous composer. For those who want to connect sightseeing with a great fun, the visit in Hellbrunn Palace is obligatory. Established by archbishop Sittikus in 17th century, the complex with a garden is an original place. During a walk among plants, a hidden fountain can splash unexpectedly. Salzburg is also famous from tiny, spherical chocolates called Mozartkugeln.

Of course the capital city cannot be omitted during a trip to that country. A lot of the most interesting monuments of Austria can be found here. Schönbrunn, Hundertwasserhaus and Prater – well-known amusement park are a definite must. A town hall, built in neo-Gothic style and the square in front of that are also worth seeing. Those who like Gothic style must visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral – one of the most monumental churches in Europe. When someone is exhausted with sightseeing, he can rest in city park and take a photo with a golden monument of Strauss.
