Wawel Royal Castle

Hulking over the Vistula River, Wawel is an obligatory point for every trip to Cracow. Inside some permanent exhibitions can be seen. Visitors can find out how the life in the castle looked like by seeing royal private and official apartments. Through centuries, Wawel was an important point on a political map of Poland and Europe. It was developed by consecutive rulers. In the Wawel crypt Polish kings are buried, as well as other important figures.

Baranow Sandomierski

The building of this old aristocratic residence started at the end of 16th century. It is an example of late Renaissance style, designed by an Italian architect. Several noble families were living here through years. Now the castle is available for tourists. Inside there is a restaurant where some weddings and banquets take place. The great acoustic of the interiors should be noticed.

Royal Castle in Warsaw

The residence, located in capital city of Poland has a history that reaches 13th century. During the Second World War the castle was almost completely destroyed. In the 70s, it was rebuilt and now the visitors can admire the interiors with a rich collection of art. Not only paintings, but also ceramics, clocks or furniture can be seen here. The castle can be visited for free on Sundays. Warsaw old city and the castle are listed in UNESCO list.

Malbork Castle

This enormous fortress, which was functioning as the residence of the Teutonic Order is one of the landmarks worth seeing in Poland. Its construction started in 13th century. Now it can be divided into three parts. Inside, interesting collections can be seen – including the amber, armouries or stained-glass collections. To sightsee the whole castle, it is good to dedicate a whole day. The sightseeing with a guide takes more than three hours. On particular summer days there is an option of visiting the castle at night.

Olsztyn Castle

That castle was the residence of Warmian Bishops in 15th century. For several years, Nicolaus Copernicus was living here as an administrator. Some parts were built later, so now it represents several styles. Inside, a museum is located. Here the famous astronomical table, created by Copernicus can be seen.
