How to get there?
This beautiful city and former capital of Poland is situated in the central west part of our country. People who are living in the Greater voivodship may reach Poznan using car train or bus, it shouldn’t took more than few hours. The most costly will be train, especially for adults without any discounts. However, during the trip by train we can see a lot of interesting landscapes from our window. Also, we have to remember that in Poland we can also use domestic flights to travel between biggest, Polish cities. If you look for a tickets smart it will be possible to pay even 50 zlotys for a ticket!
Sightseeing
The biggest amount of monuments you may find in th beautiful, historical Main Square. In the middle of it lays amazing, renaissance City Hall, one of the prettiest objects like that in Poland. Every day at noon from it tower you may heard an anthem of the Poznan, and wooden animals which are decorating the city hall are dancing in the rhythm. Around the entire Square plenty of vintage mansions are standing, you can admire in there best examples of Renaissance, Baroque, Classical and even Art Nouveau style. Another important area with plenty of historical buildings in Poznan is Ostrow Tumski. The district is situated at the isle, it used to be a property of Catholic church. That is why Ostrow is filled with churches, convents and mansions inhabited by priests and nuns.
Another attractions
During the trip to this beautiful city we have plenty of other attractions to explore. If you are admirer of animals you may visit two different zoologist gardens in there, new one and older one. Second object is dedicated mostly for the local and farm animals, rescored from the bad conditions. You will admire in there foxes, wolves, pigs, cows and even hens. New Zoo is typical object like that, but very modern with plenty of beautiful and exotic species. People who are traveling with children may go to the Blubry, amazing interactive exhibition, where you may learn all about local legends and history. And if you are admirer of an art, go to the Dalineum, an exhibition dedicated to Salvatore Dali.
